Florida Business Continuity Center Opens to Fulfill Disaster Recovery Needs

Winter Haven, FL February 15, 2010 – The Florida Business Continuity Center (FBCC) officially opens this month, with increased capacity to meet the disaster recovery and business continuity needs of public and private organizations throughout Florida. Located in Winter Haven, Florida, within the Inland Fiber & Data Technology Park, the 250 workstation, 14,000 square foot Florida Business Continuity Center was established to provide full service alternate workspace recovery facilities and services for businesses and governmental entities throughout Florida seeking a secure inland, Flood Zone X location for continuity of business and employee operations.

According to the Association of Contingency Planners, business continuity planning should be an integral part of every business — large and small, public and private. Every business should plan for how it would continue to operate in the face of interruption from a variety of natural or man-made hazards.

Organizations are becoming keenly aware of the critical importance in the continuity of their business operations in disaster or related outage scenarios. The availability of critical business processes extends far beyond Information Technology (IT) continuity and recovery with a fundamental reliance on continued core office and personnel work-related functions contributing considerably to the daily operations of the company. “Organizations are wise to prepare early for potential downtime of their primary offices, to insure continuity of daily functions and provide convenient close-proximity, easy-access temporary workspace for their staff,” comments Carl J. Strang III, President of FBCC owner, the 6/10 Corporation.

FBCC offers affordable data center and telecommunication services with fractional-lease options and plug and play disaster and workspace recovery services. Fully appointed facilities include advanced call capabilities, onsite technical support, private offices, conference rooms, kitchen and break room, equipment storage space and full bathroom and shower facilities.
