Florida Business Continuity Center opens

Tampa Bay Business Journal

The Florida Business Continuity Center opened in Winter Haven to help companies recover data and house employees following a disaster.

The 250-workstation, 14,000-square-foot center provides full-service alternate workspace recovery facilities and services for continuity of business and employee operations.

It is located in the Inland Fiber and Data Technology Park at 199 Avenue B N.W.

Florida Business Continuity Center President Carl Strang III said Winter Haven was selected because it is easily accessible from all parts of the state and away from the risks associated with coastal locations.

Strang said the city also lies outside the 500-year flood zone and outside the maximum wind-borne-debris areas associated with a land-falling hurricane.
